Pregnancy Massage Skills & Consultation
Become Confident in Pre & Postnatal Care
Service Description
Guidance, skill-sharing, and recommendations for massage therapists and businesses seeking to provide safe and quality massage services for pregnant and postnatal clients. Requirements Practitioners and businesses must meet their state's educational requirements and any other criteria necessary for practicing massage therapy. This offering is designed to enhance your existing practice and is not a continuing education course. It serves as a consultation and skill-sharing opportunity. One-on-One and Business Consultation (4 employees per session in a group learning environment) You will receive up to a 4-hour appointment to evaluate and upgrade your current skill set, address specific questions, and consult on best practices for serving a demographic of underserved pre- and postnatal clients. After the session, you'll receive follow-up communication with tailored recommendations for your practice. This meeting can take place either on-site at your studio or as a virtual meeting, depending on your location and preference. This will enhance your practice by increasing your confidence in serving pregnant and postnatal clients. By expanding your offerings, you'll connect with a broader community, ensuring your services remain relevant for years to come. Pregnancy massage is a gentler modality, which can lead to greater longevity for you as a practitioner while still providing a steady income. In my experience, developing this skill set has opened many doors, fostered ongoing business, and deepened my involvement within my communities. I have 10 years of experience in massage therapy, both as an employee and a business owner. I successfully run a private practice (8+ years) in California and Minnesota. My education includes specialized training in various massage therapy modalities, with a focus on prenatal and postnatal care from the National Holistic Institute in Santa Rosa, CA. I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and completed their up-to-date continuing education on prenatal and postnatal care. I have completed continuing education courses at Osmosis Japanese Day Spa in Freestone, CA, as well as Holistic Body Therapy training from DeAnna Batdorff and The Dhyana Center in Sebastopol, CA. Currently, I practice at Blooma, a family wellness studio in South Minneapolis that offers prenatal, postnatal, and whole family care, along with movement classes, services ,and education.
